Concrete Paving
R&W’s expertise in large-scale concrete paving is unparalleled. We have built a reputation with all three Bay Area airports for high productivity and superior quality work.
Oakland Airport:
R&W placed all of the concrete for both Phase I and II of the East Apron Rehabilitation. This work amounted to more than 1.5 million square feet of finish work and over 60,000 CUY of concrete placed per FAA P501 specifications.
San Francisco Airport:
R&W has performed projects at the San Francisco Airport for well over 30 years, including Boarding Area ‘D’ and Boarding Area ‘F’ which alone included placing close to 25,000 CUY of concrete.
San Jose Airport:
R&W completed the new nose road paving for the New North Concourse building, placing nearly 4,000 CUY of concrete paving in 2 weeks.
VTA:
R&W placed the concrete paving for two new park and rides near the Great Mall in Milpitas, CA. This work was part of a larger expansion of the VTA light rail lines from San Jose to Milpitas.

Site Work / Architectural Finishes
Light Rail:
R&W Concrete is highly skilled in the construction of station and platforms for light rail. We have completed projects for the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority and MUNI. Our crews are specially trained on safety, working around live rail lines, and executing the unique architectural features, finishes, and colors required on these projects. R&W Concrete has also completed heavy rail projects with Caltrain.
Parks:
R&W’s park projects exemplify our close attention to the exacting standards required by landscape architects and owners. One of the parks that we are very proud to have worked on is the McCovey Cove Park at ATT Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. We placed all of the concrete on this project, including the seat wall and the rock salt finish flatwork.
Street work:
R&W has extensive experience in street work. R&W placed all of the concrete on 3 phases of the Embarcadero Renovation and all of the phases of the Market Street Renovation in San Francisco. This included the Curbs and Gutters, Sidewalk, Street Base and all of the Light Rail Paving. We continue to provide high quality work similar to this in all parts of the Bay Area.
